Welcome to From Yesterday fanlisting dedicated to Ryuuoh, a character from one of CLAMP's early series RG Veda who recently made a reappearance in CLAMP's giant crossover series Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle. This fanlisting has been approved by animefanlistings.ORG and adopted from Fanny. If you're a fan of Ryuuoh then I definitely urge you to join. The origin of this shrine's title From Yesterday, comes from a song by 30 Seconds to Mars that I feel fits Ryuuoh very well and because the series he originally appeared in, RG Veda ended years ago, making it a metaphorical yesterday to CLAMP's more recent Tsubasa.

Ryuuoh is a king of the Ryu clan. He was a child who loved war and had absolutely no desire to become involved in politics and thus no desire to become king. At the time he was still known as Naga and was only considered due to his grandfather's illness which required a new king to take the throne. Everyone even his own cousins believed he would be best to take up the throne but still he refused. It was the impending arrival of Yasha and Ashura that forced Naga to choose. You see Naga desired to be strong and he also is known for his love of fighting. In order to increase his strength he wished to take up the clan's sword Ryugato. The problem only the clan head may wield it. So in the end he became king. He didn't stay long after before joining Yasha and Ashura's group. Now, don't misunderstand. Ryuuoh had no desire to join the rebellion. He just wanted to fight... after all fighting is what he lives for. He is a major source of jokes and comic relief throughout the series, at least he is until he gets into battle.
