A Killer Extraordinare.

Hizumi is by no means a weapons master, because unlike the Blade Children he has not been hunted for his entire life. Hizumi didn’t even learn he was different from the rest of the world until he was 10 years old. Hizumi’s weapon usage is based more on practice than actual combat, which leaves him open to a variety of attacks when in battle.

Hizumi’s inexperience forces him to hesitate when he faces Kanone. Hizumi knows he can’t beat Kanone in a straight fight however he realizes that by using strategy he can make Kanone realize that he has to die for the cause, which in turn makes Kanone an easier target and takes the blame off of Hizumi. During that battle, Hizumi instigated the conflict by bringing in a gun and aiming it at Kanone. For Kanone, Hizumi was an easy target. Hizumi is only able to get an edge by telling Kanone about Kiyotaka’s plans, in order to make Kanone willing to die. The conflict proves that Hizumi isn’t a cold blooded killer who wants Kanone dead; in fact he’s more of a scared child trying to do what’s right. Even after killing Kanone, Hizumi remains uncomfortable about using guns and finds it nearly impossible to raise one against Ayumu.

Hizumi is slightly more experienced in using knives. He is able to hold one to Ayumu and even tried to kill Kiyotaka with one in the past. Hizumi’s biggest problem was his hesitation. Hizumi is fairly kind individual who finds it harder to hurt others, than to hurt himself. Hizumi find that when dealing with the people in his life, it is easier to use strategy in battle rather than weapons. Hizumi can easily convince Kanone to die or match Ayumu in battle.
